Air Conditioning and Heat Pumps
The Air Conditioning and Heat Pumps course covers inspection of cooling systems and heat pumps. The student learns to identify typical defects in these and apply correct inspection techniques. The student learns how to identify common energy sources and transfer media used in central air conditioning, common air conditioning configurations, consider the age and capacity of the cooling system, and approximate the adequacy of the system. The student will gets a good understanding of operation of heat pumps, recognizes important heat pump components, and lists common problems found with heat pumps, and their components.
METHOD OF DELIVERY
Learning supported by a qualified off-site instructor; students are provided with course content that includes all of the required courseware, and are supported by a live technical instructor during regular business hours. Students have access to an instructor via e-mail outside of regular business hours.
The student receives resource material for this course. There are two tests to evaluate student progress. Participants who receive 75% or higher overall will receive a certificate.
