Electrical Inspection

The Electrical Inspection course prepares the student to inspect the performance of the following components of electrical systems within residential buildings: service drops, grounding systems, service panels, wiring systems, devices and fixtures. It focuses on inspecting and reporting on the following electrical aspects of a residential dwelling: service drop, service entrance and service size; service box, grounding and panels; the distribution system. The student learns to apply knowledge of electrical concepts to inspections that focus on safety concerns and comply with good construction practices.

None

METHOD OF DELIVERY

Learning supported by a qualified off-site instructor; students are provided with course content that includes all of the required courseware, and are supported by a live technical instructor during regular business hours. Students have access to an instructor via e-mail outside of regular business hours.

COURSE NOTES

Students receive resource material for this course. There are three tests to evaluate student progress. Participants who receive 75% or higher overall will receive a certificate.
